How to remove http://startsear.info/ homepage / Google custom search.

Hi when i change my homepage back to www.google.co.uk and websearch back to default google after 10 - 20 minutes my homepage changes itself back to http://startsear.info/ & when searching in the address bar, the search engine reverts back to Google custom search, anyone know how to fix this, malware byte picks up no virus's or anything and no other browser does it.

Hello,

In the address bar could you please type about:config and press enter, then press the button that says ill be careful promise. Now in the search bar on screen type browser.startup.homepage

now find the preference named browser.startup.homepage and double click on it, then in the pop up erase the text and paste this www.google.co.uk

then press enter

this should fix your problem, let me know if you need better instructions and i can help you out

Sadly not, after 5- 20 minutes minutes it all changes itself back. just only happens on firefox and cant find a permanat fix for it.
