Can you remove "Enter Reader Mode" icon from URL bar?
With the new update (38.05) on my desktop computer I get an icon that appears on certain webpages to "Enter Reader Mode". It looks like a small open book and appears in the right of the URL bar next to the dropdown arrow and refresh icon. I will never use this feature and find its appearance on certain pages a nuisance. Is there a way to disable it from appearing?
When I go to customize firefox its icon doesn't appear. Is there a about:config setting I can change or something?
Thanks.

Sorry, I don't see an about:config pref to disable the new Reader View feature. Hiding that button in the Location Bar is probably possible with a little bit of CSS code.
for the CSS see cor-el' reply
i tried the reader.parse-on-load.enabled to false in about:config, seems it works, can you confirm ? (need to reload the page).
thank you

Overall, I am not a "fan" of many of the new features that Mozilla has added to Firefox recently - in fact I would be happier with the Firefox 3.0 / 3.5 User Interface and featureset, but with the security features /patches that have been added in the last 7 years since Firefox 3.0 was released.
As far as this Reader View feature goes - I like it! I used it to read the TOS and Privacy Policy for the new Pocket feature which is new to 38.0.5, too. Hopefully this new feature will help me by providing "printer-ready" pages that can be printed, sans the advertising and website navigation features that aren't needed or usable on a printed page.
