security update has disrupted other settings
Since a security update installed automatically this morning a few problems have surfaced which I can't fix. 1 - identity chooser does not work despite reinstalling thunderbird and all add ons 2 - when I try to reply to an incoming message thunderbird uses addresses from the last out going email Any help or suggestions please?

Can you be more specific about this security update? Was it a Windows update? An antivirus update?
Also, did you try running it in safe mode?
It was a Thunderbird update. I have reistalled everything again and it now seems to be working - very strange................
Yeah... I've had similar experiences. Sometimes it's almost like it just needs to find its rhythm. Thanks for letting us know.
