I created a " FRIENDS " folder and I want the e-mails from my contacts to go into this friends folder when they send me a e-mail can it be done and if so how ?

Do you have the contacts side bar turned on F9 will turn it on and off.

Answer to qestion two is as Mark said, using button F9 to turn on (and off) contact side bar. Q1, create a filter as Mark suggested. Tools / Message filters / "select your account" / New "If FROM is in your personal address book MOVE it to FRIEND"
