my messages used to come in order... what comes today should be at the top of my list of messages. now they are all out of order... nemessages.
on my yahoo mail, there is a marker at the top which lets me put messages in order chronologically. or backwards with old messages at the top. my messages are coming in strangely, with new messages popping up in the middle of old messages.

In Thunderbird you click on any column header to sort on that column. You click that same header a second time to reverse the sort. There is a small pointer that appears on the header indicating that it is the sorted column and the direction of the sort. If you click on DATE do you get back to normal?
