Update from 38.7.2 to 45.0 cause a compatibility problem with my email host & I can't download any messages, how can I uninstall the update?

Problems after update (such as what you describe) are typically caused by antivirus, and extensions installed into Thunderbird. Please start Thunderbird in safe mode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird

Is the problem gone??
