Can I somehow mark different email addresses, so that when they come thru, they are a different color, or starred or somehow different from all the incoming ems

I want to be able mark certain incoming email addresses, so that when my email downloads, I can quickly see the important ones. Either so they come in in a different color or font or something.

If the number of email addresses you want to highlight is fairly small, you could set up a filter in Thunderbird for each of them, which would 'star' those messages or mark them as high priority or apply a tag of your choosing ... or even move them into a folder named 'important' if you want.
