One isp not working on thunderbird

We have 4 email accounts on our Thunderbird. Suddenly the main one has stopped working. It's a hotmail one. I have deleted the account and put it on again and it did not help. I receive emails OK via my phone but not via Thunderbird on PC. It states, servre at hotmail has disconnected. Hope someone can help.

Do you use Avast ? Another person had similar issue and found that Avast was the culprit.

In Avast security products you can disable the interception of secure connections:

Open the dashboard of your Avast application. Go to Settings > Active Protection and click Customize next to Web Shield. Uncheck the Enable HTTPS Scanning setting and confirm this by clicking OK.
