New Firefox -- awful. Lost ability to go "back" more than one page.

Why did you totally revamp Firefox? In prior versions I could use the "back" virtual button to go back multiple pages .... now I apparently cannot do this. So many things I dislike about the New Firefox, especially that left-right "bouncing ball" when FF is loading something. I don't know how to "load" the prior version but I want to. I have an HP desktop about 3 years old, running Windows 7. Thank you.

Please : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles then https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Fyi: the loading page balls can be removed (am not sure how myself) https://www.howtogeek.com/333110/how-to-customize-firefox-quantum-and-remove-the-white-space-around-the-title-bar/ and https://www.howtogeek.com/333805/how-to-change-or-customize-firefoxs-new-tab-page/ and https://www.userchrome.org/

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hi StephenKnudsen, could you explain this problem further:

In prior versions I could use the "back" virtual button to go back multiple pages .... now I apparently cannot do this.

There still is a Back button, and if you right-click it there is a menu of the history of that tab. Is it not working, or not working the way it did before?

So many things I dislike about the New Firefox, especially that left-right "bouncing ball" when FF is loading something.

Those dots can be changed using a custom style rule, as can many aspects of the appearance of Firefox's interface. If you're interested in diving into that, it involves creating a userChrome.css file, and takes 5-10 minutes. Once you have the first rule set up, it's faster for the next one, etc.

This page describes how to create the file:

https://www.userchrome.org/how-create-userchrome-css.html

This discussion thread on Reddit has a rule that switches the dots back to the old circling arrow design:
