57.0.3 64 bit downloads extremely slow.
Since FF updated to V. 57.0.3 64 bit. it downloads like Dial-up even though I have over 70 mb upload speed. I tried the recommended fixes with no avail. This is extremely frustrating and I have been forced to use Chrome instead. I am running Win 10,0.15063 and 64 bit. Here is the FF Troubleshooting content:

Update Video Card Drivers. Update you Network Card. Adjust settings for Network Card uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.3 with a Full Version Installer

To get that as upload speed is unheard of, usually your ISP throttles uploads. (I get 120mps down, 7up.} Make sure WIndows 10 has not replaced your Network Card Drivers with their own as they can and will. Go to Device Manager and check. Get name of Adapter and google and go to manufacturers to see if a updated driver. Also the look for the specs as the internet/time may have surpassed the capabilities of the card.

You were correct, I meant upload speed, not download. Still, no changes were made to any of my drivers. The issue with FF began when FF changed to v 57.0.1 This is not a win 10 issue, but the changes FF made to their browser. Apparently, a lot of people are having the same issue. Chrome and Win Explorer downloads quickly and FF now doesn't since the upgrade to 57.0..
I was on FF again when everything froze. I couldn't close the browser, even by using Task Manager. I rebooted and it took about 10 minutes or so to close Windows. Upon rebooting, FF worked as expected without slowdowns. Strange indeed.
Problem solved for now. Thanks.
please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.
Monitor in Task Manager. Should stay below 2 gigs. If excessive then do below and monitor and change if need to...Test and go up again , go back down, it will eventually get a zone you and it can live with.
Go to the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.
