As firefox shows only a partial file download history I would like to know how to see all the file names that I have downloaded .

I'm using firefox ver59.0 and I've seen it only shows the files I've downloaded in the last month or so in the download history folder. As I've moved or deleted some of these files I would like to know how to see the file names or other details of the files that I downloaded in the past. Is this possible?

Download history is stored in the History Manager. But after a period of time, download information is removed.

Thanks for the answer. So I can assume that it is impossible to recover the names of the files I downloaded apart from trying to search through the history manager?

If you know the name of the file, you can search for that. No guarantees, however.

Downloads and long URLs expire in 60 days, so you won't see files you downloaded from longer ago. There might still be history left from pages where you started the download.
