Attaching certain specific files does not work (hangs forever) in gmail, other similar files work fine. Known bug? Fix in works?
The troublesome file was a Word file. I tried Saving As to a different file, attaching same file to a different email, uploading the file to Google Drive, downloading it, and attaching it, I tried quitting and relaunching the browser, and I tried restarting the machine.
The only thing that worked was trying Safari. After that worked, I tried FF again, and it failed again.
Note that this is different from not being able to attach ANY file; in this scenario (which happens for me from time to time) one file works and another file doesn't, in FF, but in safari, both files work just fine.

Please try a Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt. Please Refresh but do this 1st:
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
then
Note : Webroot Filtering Extension & Webroot Password Manager are not approved for use with Firefox by the add-on site.
So the above may be the issue.
Do you have a use for these or are they left over ?? ADB Helper Valence
Ok thanks Pkshadow. I'll keep these refresh steps on hand for a moment when I can go through them.
That's a bummer to hear about the Webroot stuff. I've just been using it, seems to work fine, and FF never complained or screamed when I added it.
Well nothing stopping you from using it if it does not interfere with Firefox performing as it should be. But if it is the cause of the issue, dumping it with a Refresh will soon tell. Some others are not officially listed either.
When Google : firefox Webroot nothing but issues come up and no install. install should be the 1st thing to come up.
You can try this : Norton and Lastpass have the most users :
Can search safe in this one also.
