I frequently open PDF links from a web page. After I'm done looking at it and close Adobe reader, I have to go back to downloads, open the containing folder to delete, then go back and remove it from history. I'd really like to have a way for these to go away automatically. If I want to save the PDF, I just do a save as while I have it open.

There is a open to just open did you not see that option. Looks like your configuration is set to save not just open.

It looks like changing the option for PDF to "preview in Firefox" has done what I want. Thanks everyone!
