Can't log into a https: web page. Just get a blank screen. When I disable plug-ins, the page works.
The https://member.aetna.com/appConfig/login/login.fcc login page doesn't load with plug-ins turned on so I ran the browser in safe mod with the plug-ins disabled. The plug-ins are: Open H264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google and Shockwave Flash. Not sure which one of them is actually causing the problem but I believe these load automatically as I didn't load them. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
Also, my husband gets an error loading page since the latest Firefox update 61.0.2 on his laptop. This is happening on websites that he has bookmarked and were working prior to this update. Not sure what's going on there. I would appreciate help with this problem also since we haven't made any changes to our settings and I'm not sure what to do about it.
We both are running Windows 10 and the same 61.0.2 Firefox version. Let me know if there's any other information you need.
Thanks, Vicki M.

HI, you can click on the Icon of uBlock and then press the pause button. Or white list it as already suggested. You do not need to disable it just pause. For all the ads/sites it shows for that main site just click on the line and turn it green in both columns then mouse up and save your changes.
Using uBlock you do not need the Yahoo Blocker.
Can pare uBlock with Ghostery if like as the look at things differently and you can learn from what it blocks to teach uBlock all the main sites you go to. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ghostery/

What extensions do you have installed? Not plugins.
Also try in : SAFE MODE
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:
- all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
- default theme is used (no persona)
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
- default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
- Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
- hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
- plugins are not affected
- preferences are not affected
TEST''''is issue still there ?
I have the following extensions: uBlock Origin Webmail Ad Blocker Yahoo Mail Hide Ad Panel
I did use safe mode to disable plugins which is why I thought it was the plugins. Never had the problem before May. Only the aetna login page I gave in my original post has been affected. I even put the login page as an exception under cookies and site data but it didn't work. Thanks, Vicki M
Safe mode disables your extensions. So it's one of the extensions you have. Disable them one by one until your find the culprit.
I disabled all and ran in safe mode. I enabled one at a time and found it's the uBlock Origin 1.16.16. I guess I just need to disable this whenever I go to the Aetna sign in page. What a pain. Oh well at least I know what to do unless you know of a better solution.
Any suggestion on my husband's laptop with error loading pages that previously loaded before Firefox update 61.0.2?
Thanks, Vicki
You can add that website to the whitelist of ublock, which will just automatically disable it for that page.
What error does he have?
Also, it looks like you have multiple ad blockers. I'd disable them all but ublock. Having multiples just causes issues
