...just like it does whenever a file finishes DL'ing. This leads me to believe that FF is downloading "something" every time I start the program. So why/what is it doing?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Still there, I tried doing the safe mode and the DL icon still jumps like it finished a DL. Maybe this is normal behavior and no one's noticed it?
