I have a quick question, whenever I open Firefox - it opens to it being 'Restore Down' or as the smaller window. And even when I full size it and try to restore previous session, it changes it to being the smaller window... I'm just really confused as this has been bothering me for a little bit.

Here is an old trick... Open Firefox and get it set to the size and location you want. Then hold the ctrl key and while holding the key click on the X(top right corner)to close the browser. Open it again to see if it worked. Fingers crossed.  ;-))

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/changes-toolbars-and-window-sizes-are-not-saved You may have corrupt xulstore.json file.

Close Firefox. Open your file browser to this hidden location:

  • Mac: *~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles
  • Linux: *~/.mozilla/firefox/Profiles
  • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
  • *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
  • Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data \Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Search for the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.
