Whenever I try to forward an email to names in an address book using BCC the server returns a message to say the message has been rejected due to spam or virus. This applies to both a straight forward written email or one with an attachment. This only started to happen 3 days ago. I can send the message using TO rather than BCC. The ISP (PlusNet) has told me no problem at their end. Switching the firewall off makes no difference. Can you help please?

Soluzione scelta

what happens if you add one address to the To: and the rest to BCC? My guess is their spam filter is kicking about there being no To: entry. But I am only guessing.

Matt. Genius. It worked!! Strange that this only started to happen last Friday. Has there been a recent software up date I wonder? Many thanks.

I would guess the change is at your mail provider. Unfortunately mail provider support is usually not in most cases, it is look for something else to blame and move on. Our web mail works so there is no problem.

Sure there is no problem at plusnets end. They changed how it works and it is working exactly as they like it. Just they forgot to tell the folk affected.

PlusNet assures me that all is well at their end. I am happy to live with your solution so will leave it at that. Many thanks for your input.
