firefox iconshortcur=ts instaed of actual website shortcut on desktop

when i drag and drop a web page or game or whatever to create a desktop shortcut i get the Firefox short cut instead of the actual websites game etc shortcut to the desktop. In order for me to get the actual shortcut to the webpage game etc i have to use Internet explorer and where it says create shortcut i get the actual website shortcut why=y can i not get the actual short cut ? see the photo the x one is from ie the other is firefox
