Thunderbird 91.6.2 crashes when opening attachments
This issue has been reported many times already, but there doesn't seem to be a silver bullet solution, so I am posting this again: TB is crashing whenver I am trying to open an attachment and browse it in TB. Here is the crash report:

Access: Help > More Troubleshooting Information Scroll down to 'Crash Reports' section. Can you please post the actual crash ID number - it will start with bp-

If you start up Thunderbird in Safe Mode do you still get same problem ? Menu app icon > Help > Troubleshoot Mode click on Restart.

Is the received email with attachment in a POP or IMAP account folder? What size is the attachment ?
Explain the process - what you click on and select and what occurs. eg: do you right click on attachment in email and select 'Open' Do you get crash when you click on 'Open'?
what do you mean by 'browse it in TB' ? Do you mean - after you click on 'Open' you get pop up window to choose program - you then click on 'Browse' button to choose what program to use and then you get crash before you can choose program?
What type of attachment extension are you talking about? .jpg ? .docx ? .pdf ?
Are you wanting to open pdf attachments in a tab in Thunderbird? If yes, is this already set up and selected in:
- Menu app icon > Preferences > General
- Scroll to 'Files & Attachments'
- Content Type: 'Portable Document Format PDF'
- What is currently selected ? - select 'Preview in Thunderbird'
In order to rule out any interference from other programs please test:
- Exit all programs.
- Restart computer in 'Safe Mode with Networking' mode
- Start Thunderbird
Test opening attachment. Offer info on type of attachment and process you used and at what point the crash occurs - if it still happens.
