Since June 7th my gmail messages aren't downloading or sending. I have done everything suggested online to the point that I currently have the latest Thunderbird update have created a special password for apps and tried to set up the account again and it freezes after accepting the settings and the password. Any suggestions?

you should be using oauth authentication in gmail. Are you?

I tried but it fails to be able to sign in.
