Firefox won't let me save new Credit Card info

I deleted a bunch of old credit cards (all except one)and tried adding a new one, but Firefox (for Windows) won't let me save a new credit card after I enter it. The Save button dims a sec to show the computer acknowledges it and no error statements pop up. FWIW The authentication security setting is off. Please help.

Use this setting to add, remove or change saved credit card data in Firefox. and select Settings. Click the Privacy & Security panel and scroll down to the Forms and Autofill section. Click the Saved Credit Cards
