No Firefox window appears

Suddenly when I open Firefox no window appears and it is greyed out in the menu bar. I have tried restarting, and downloading a new copy. In Force Quit it shows FF is running, but I cannot access a window to use it.

might be problem with your computers performance have you tried updating to latest version of your computer software
