Attempts to import from a previous [recent] profile generate this error message:

uncaught exception: Object Uncaught (in promise) Exception { name: "", message: "Component returned failure code: 0x80550013 [nsIMsgFolder.createSubfolder]", result: 2153054227, filename: "resource:///modules/ThunderbirdProfileImporter.jsm", lineNumber: 725, columnNumber: 0, data: null, stack: "_importMailMessagesToLocal@resource:///modules/ThunderbirdProfileImporter.jsm:725:31\nstartImport@resource:///modules/ThunderbirdProfileImporter.jsm:146:12\nstartImport@chrome://messenger/content/aboutImport.js:701:30\nonclick@about:import#:1:19\n", location: XPCWrappedNative_NoHelper }

Can anyone decipher this?

I have no answer, but if you tell what OS and how you imported, step by step, it may be useful. Thank you.

I am using the latest update to Win 11. I attempted the import by using Tools>Import from another Thunderbirds Installation>Choose a profile folder>D:\gfw0zfjw.default>Mail Messages>Start import

I suggest then using the older approach of copying it in yourself or use Profile Manager. Click the Windows key and 'r' key and window opens. Enter thunderbird.exe -p and press enter. This opens profile manager and you can click 'create profile' then click next, then enter a name and click the browse button to locate and select the desired profile. If the profile is not corrupted, thunderbird should be able to use it. Good luck.
