Disable viewing all passwords using fingerprint
I like using fingerprint to unlock my mobile and I can manage the risks linked to the weaknesses of the method.
BUT I find very dangerous to be able to access all my passwords using my finger. My finger could be used when I am asleep for example and the person would be able to see and copy all the passwords he wants while I am sleeping. I would even not notice he copied anything when I wake up.
When I want to see a password I am proposed to use PIN AND fingerprint. So unless there is a way to disable unlocking the passwords with the fingerprint, I am forced to disable fingerprint to unlock my mobile which is annoying.
My question is -- How do I disable fingerprint for accessing my passwords without removing fingerprint globally ?

Hi
At the present time that is not an option that is available.
OK thanks Paul. Disappointing there is no way to disable a non-secure access to passwords. I need to remove fingerprint from my phone until I find a way/application that keeps passwords secure.
If you set the lock screen control for your Android to a passcode, Firefox for Android should follow that for access to the list of credentials stored in the app.
Thanks Paul I understand that but please tell Firefox team that giving access to a phone where there is nothing vital for me using fingerprint is very different than letting the same fingerprint access all my passwords. I do not even understand how they did not pay attention to this. Will return to firefox for passwords when this is fixed.
Again thanks for your support.
Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. If you want to leave feedback for developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Share ideas and feedback…. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
