Home page web search bar in the middle of the screen
Please look into fixing this problem. What is the purpose of the web search bar in the middle of the screen if it cannot be used? There is a setting that allows it to be there but nothing that can make it a default search bar. The address/search bar up top is always the default no matter what I've tried. It's nerve wracking to see something there you can't use. If there is something I can do to fix this please let me know.

Enter about:config in the address bar and flip browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar to false.
I understand the about:config, after that nothing makes sense. I'm totally lost. I'm not computer literate. I need a step by step on what was just given to me.
Type about:config into the url bar and press return. You'll then see a warning which you'll have to acknowledge. After that another search box will appear. Into that type, or paste, browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar. This will then appear below with true next to it. Double-click the word true and it will change to false.
