Can't get rid of box asking for password when I try to access my BT email account via Thunderbird
I've accessed my email account william.cleghorn@btinternet.com for years without problems. I recently had to change the password, when helping my wife to recover from a hacked email account. Since then, a box persistently appears on my screen, asking for my password, which it then rejects, saying 'log-in failed'. I can't get rid of the box, which keeps reappearing. Please advise

My guess would be that the password you entered was slightly different than you thought you entered. Especially if you have never received email since the change. Have you used the same password to access the BT online email interface?
I have the same problem and it is really annoying, being this is my own computer in the privacy of my house. Please tell me how to get rid of this annoying required sign in.

You are required to enter an email but you don't get any email? Is that the problem you're experiencing? Please send a screenshot of any error messages you are getting.
