Cannot compose/reply email in Outlook

When I try to compose a new email, or reply to one, the pane opens to compose the email, but immediately closes before I can enter anything, reverting back to the Inbox. A new, empty draft gets created. But there is no way I can create a new email. Problem does not occur on other browsers. If I open a "New Private Window" and sign in to Outlook, I can then create the email there, but after a while the same problem occurs in that window too. Tried clearing Firefox cache temp files and cookies, but that did not resolve the problem. Using web based Outlook, Windows 10. Firefox is up to date.

Windows home or pro? I'm in it all day at work and then at home with no issues. See screenshots of a reply and compose new email.

Windows 10 Pro. Problem still occurs in Troubleshoot mode, and after clearing cache. As soon as the pane opens where you would compose a new, or reply, or forward email, the pane closes and an empty draft has been saved.

What security software are you running? I would test in the Sandbox to confirm. https://www.howtogeek.com/399290/how-to-use-windows-10s-new-sandbox-to-safely-test-apps/

You can also boot to safe mode with network and try the same steps.

This problem seems to have cleared up on its own. I don't know what's changed, but the problem isn't occurring now. Thanks for your help and suggestions.
