I can't cut or paste because of browser security settings?

When I try to cut and paste on some pages I get the following message: Your browser security settings don't permit the editor to automatically execute cutting operations. Please use the keyboard for that (Ctrl+X). I don't want to use my keyboard to cut and paste. Is there a way I can change these security settings?
