predictive text not working in adddress bar

When I begin to type URL address, Firefox no longer remembers my history. I have made changes in preferences, "use customs settings for history"and then making the correct choices but it still isn't working. Really frustrating having to type in full address of regular websites I use.

It just stopped working!

Make sure that the Location Bar is not set to "Nothing":

  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Location Bar: When using the location bar, suggest: History,Bookmarks,History and Bookmarks

This issue can also be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

thank you so much for these answers... i have spent such an amount of time trying to solve the problem that i've opted to use safari instead... can't bare to spend another sec trying to problem solve.
