Soluzione scelta

Go to tools and click on Add-ons. Disable Oberon Gamesbar. Restart Firefox and your new tab should open as blank.

You can go to Firefox and download one of many add-ons to do this. This issue has been addressed in another forum in Firefox Help. Follow this link: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/773676?s=new+tab+google&as=s

Two add-ons mentioned by Tony E. are NewTabURL or New Tab Homepage.

Also, whenever you open the new tab, you can just click on the home icon. That is what I do.

I may have misunderstood your problem. To set your home page to show up as Google, go to Tools, Options, General. In the Home Page box type whatever you want your home page to be, such as http://www.google.com
