I recently upgraded to 3.6.15 and I can't accell my saved tabs or bookmarks or create a new bookmark

I recently upgraded to 4.0 beta and hated so much I re-installed 3.6.15 I have now lost my ability to bookmark and I can't access my saved tabs. And where there used to be A return button now there's not one. [top left hand corner] only effects cretin functions. Also if I wanted to bookmark this page It won't let me or if it does I can't find where it is stored. Have I lost my old bookmarks completely?

It sounds like you have a problem with the file that stores bookmarks and history, for details on fixing it see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite

Thank You Very Much for the help, however the link to fix the problem is to complicated for me and I'm just as lost now. After 6 years of using mozilla I'm going to do something I thought I would never ever do I'm going back to Explorer. Thanks Again RB
