I lost the orange retangle in the upper left corner--how do I get it back?
I'm not familiar with your vocabulary. How do I get the bars on the top of the screen back along with orange rectangle?

The orange Firefox button is a substitute for the classic menu bar. If you have the menu bar, you can use
View menu > Toolbars > uncheck Menu Bar
to restore the orange Firefox button.
Does that work?
If you don't have any menus or toolbars, you might be in full screen mode. Try the F11 key to switch between regular and full screen modes.
