I would like to use the 7.0 beta version of Firefox and would like to keep the 3.6 version at the same time. I am a student and the College Web doesn't support anything higher than Firefox 3.6. I have to have 3.6 for school but would like to be able to use 7.0 for personal use

I would suggest that you install the current version of Firefox 6.0, or if you choose, Firefox 7beta as your regular full-time browser on your hard drive, and install Firefox Portable 3.6.x and use it only for "Blackboard" or whatever your college is using that will not accept current Firefox versions.

You can install Firefox Portable version to use only on that site and use your installed current Firefox 6 or 7beta for everything else. Firefox Portable is not produced by Mozilla (but is based on Firefox released versions) and is not supported on this site -- has its own support forum (see below). Firefox Portable installs in a separate folder on your hard drive so that it does not interfere with your Firefox 6 or 7beta settings or personal information (bookmarks, passwords, etc.). You can also install Firefox Portable on a USB/thumb/pin/jump drive.
