i cant view php files online,i did before i restored windows with minimal drivers

when trying to view a php file from a website a prompt opens asking what firefox should do save or open. no matter what i choose i cant view the online php file. i did not have this problem before i had to reinstall windows to factory settings with minimal drivers. running win7 64 bit. what do i need to run or download to view these php files online with firefox?

I'm on a Mac using OS X 10.7.2, and this is also happening to me.

I'm trying to preview local php files (I'm coding a website) and Firefox is asking me where to open or save the file, not actually just previewing it.

Please, some help?
