It is very annoying to find that after upgrading to Firefox 8 I no longer have the English/Australian Dictionary or Lightening Calendar available, loosing all my appointments. :( When will these features be available for FF 8???

The dictionary should be working in Firefox 8 (works with Firefox 2.0 - 9.*):

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is a compatibility update available.
