I installed the new version of Firefox 9.0.1 the other day. Ever since then, my computer has been running very slowly. Many pages will not load at all or, if they do, they are not in the normal html format. How do I go back to my previous version of firefox?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I have the same issue with any version of firefox I try after 3.6 - I keep having to go re-install back 3.6 (or whatever the highest 3. version is) in order for pages to load normally. I know this isnt an answer to your question - but I was hoping we'd both get a tip from someone.
