Okay, it started when I got Cox high speed in January. I could no longer access Firefox because of "proxy" settings. Then, whenever I tried to access Firefox, I got the crash reporter, and never got any type of reply as to why, even though I repeatedly sent the crash report. Also, I can't remove Firefox, because when I click uninstall, it shows a box stating I want to remove Windows! That sounds like a virus, but I have repeatedly done deep system scans with Bit Defender, and nothing ever comes up. My network has been secured from the very beginning, and I always do my security updates. Thus, how do I fix Firefox or uninstall it?

If you do uninstall Firefox but may wish to use it again do NOT use the options that delete personal settings offered by Firefox or Windows, because that will destroy bookmarks and passwords.

If you need help see firefox crashes and paste into your next message a couple of recent CrashID s

When checking for malware it is often necessary to use multiple up to date tools as not everything is detected by any one tool.
