I upgraded to version v10. It requires that I enable all my add-ons each time I start up and does not seem to save the settings. This has become quite a nuisance and time consuming as firefox seems to go down my entire list of add-ons each and every time. Is this meant to work this way? If so I will be forced to go back to v7 or use a different browser. Again, is it meant to work like this and if so why?

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

See "Corrupt extension files":

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is a compatibility update available.
