when i click on new tab, none of my speed search sites or the google search on that page work. when i click edit, just get a blank page. how can i fix this?

My new tab page used to store 15 websites. I haven't been able to edit duplicates for months, but now when i click, nothing happens. Also, can't enter anything on the Google search bar as well.

Safe mode disables the installed Extensions, and themes (Appearance) in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons. Hardware acceleration is also temporarily disabled - the manual setting is Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Use hardware acceleration when available. Options > Advanced. All these settings/add-ons can also be individually or collectively disabled/enabled/changed in Firefox normal mode to check if an extension, theme or hardware acceleration is causing issues.

In normal mode you can also try to Disable all the add-ons except the one for speed search to check if it works okay.
