Firefox opening random last visited sites as tabs when opened?
Hi guys,
Well the problem I'm having is that I have the "Show my last tabs and windows from last time" selected but I am positive the tabs that open on a new session sometimes are not last viewed, but are from the same session.
Say I've been on eBay and clicked on a link that opened a little popup window (like some help tip). I closed that and after a few hours of browsing the internet, I leave on the Mozilla Support page and closed Firefox. When I re-open Firefox, the only window I see is the popup window from the eBay that was opened from the eBay link with no tabs or anything other stuff except for the address bar. This is the worse thing that happens but it's normally just a tab that's opened from the last session but not the last viewed.
(This is just an example of some popup window issue relating to the issue above)
Looking for a fix for this.
Regards, pr0jectile.

Hi,
Please check if this happens in a new profile. If the new profile is okay, you can later copy the needed personal data from the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings in another location separate from its files/folder. A new profile would have the default Firefox settings (Tools (Alt + T) > Options, and about:config ), and usually would also be empty of any Extensions and themes (Appearance) in Tools > Add-ons) and their settings. Also, a new profile would have no previous stored website data/settings etc., (Tools > Clear Recent History).
It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
