Why doesn't Alt-tilde work in Private mode on my Mac using 3.6.28?
I use mac os X 4.11 on my PPC. If I am in Regular or Private mode, the Alt-tilde doesn't work. Alt-tilde (tilde looks like a horizontal S) switches between screens or windows, the same as if you selected Window and selected another open screen. Thank you for your help.

Does this also happen with the Shift+Alt + ~ shortcut?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Try to remove the Firefox plist file (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Go to "~/Library/Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist)
