CheckPlaces can detect duplicates, but you cannot get it at the Mozilla addons site any more.

If you only have a few known bookmarks that have duplicates then you can open the bookmark in a tab and click the star on the right end of the location bar to remove them them all.
This may also work in File > Offline mode to avoid loading the page(s) from internet.

Re-bookmark the site with a click on the star and a second click to change the location or other properties of the bookmark.

Bookmark Duplicate Detector is not available for Firefox v 14.0.1. Does anyone know of an add-on that performs the same function?

CheckPlaces is not available *anywhere* as a Firefox add-on...

Again: Does anyone know of an add-on that automatically identified duplicate bookmarks that is available for use with Firefox v.14.0.1.? This is enormously frustrating...especially considering how many users seem to be saying that using Firefox Sync is screwing up their ability to organize their bookmarks.
