i've cured this before but can't remember how. it might have been switched to yahoo but was able to get back onto googel as my main server.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

  • View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Command+0 on Mac)

You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file.
