Why does NEw Tab page show briefly when starting my computer
Why does the Firefox New Tab page load briefly, then hides, when I start my computer running Windows 7 ? My default browser is IE

Maybe a program installed on your computer has setup a scheduled task to load Firefox on computer start-up.
Please ensure that there are no scheduled tasks that would force Firefox to load.

Ensure that you do not have a software that starts Firefox in the background with Windows. This software is to allow Firefox to start faster, but may cause this.
If you have not "preloading" software installed and active, please ensure that your computer is not infected with malware or other harmful files.

I ran all the scans you suggested and got nothing for spyware or malware or virus. What else do you suggest?
