I set the home page (and IE favorites) and the browser reverts to the default home page.

I have also done a reset. I have also started in a safe start mode. My preferred home page may load once and then not work the next time. I have the default theme set. I also do not have any extensions listed in my add on manager. I've also had a problem trying to update the flash software.

This is getting very frustrating.

What's that about IE favorites? Are you changing that homepage setting in Firefox, or in IE?
