I use Firefox and a website that I visited showed I need internet explorer to view. Will I lose my firefox if I download Internet Explorer?

Try the IETab2 extension.

Unless you are in the EU, you should have a version of Internet Explorer already installed. Have you looked in the Start > Programs or All Programs menu?

Installing or upgrading IE shouldn't have any effect on your Firefox installation, except possibly the "Default Browser" setting in Win7 which is easily changed.
