Up until 9/24/2014, I used to have one Mozilla Firefox icon on my toolbar. After 9/24/2014, when I click on the one icon to open it, another Mozilla Firefox icon appears and opens. Is this something new from Mozilla, and should I be concerned? It appears that there is no problem, but it's unusual when something spontaneously appears on you computer that is different from the norm. Thanks.

That is a little strange. I am not very familiar with the Windows 8 interface, but if you have another Firefox shortcut handy (on your desktop for instance), can you try unpinning it from your toolbar and pinning the other Firefox shortcut? If it still occurs, right click on the Firefox shortcut you used to pin (the one on your desktop for instance) and check the properties to see if the shortcut is linking directly to the right Firefox executable on your computer.
