I upgraded tb 24.0.x to tb 38.0.1 and the searching bar doesn't offer the option to search on the web, only searches for local emails, when I search on the web something on a open email it opens my default browser and NOT open a new tab on tb with the searches results. What's wrong? some configuration missing? my system is xubuntu 13.10 an tb version 38.0.1 Thanks Vladimir

OpenSearch queries now always open in the user's default browser. Check the release notes for more information. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/38.0.1/releasenotes/

I added a screenshot from Thunderbird 38.0.1 features page and my search bar doesn't work like that, no option to search on the web!
