I am using a pop 3 Thunderbird account with a third party..it then forwards my email to outlook on my pc... I would like to stop using the 3rd party..do I need a website to keep my same email address if I open an account with Thunderbird web mail? and can I still have it forwarded to my out look?

You have to have an email provider. Thunderbird is email client software and not a provider. There are no Thunderbird accounts or web mail. Those are both items that come from an email provider.
