what is the unable to write mail to mailbox error and how do i fix it?

Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.

this is the error i started my monday morning with..... any suggestions? i obviously have plenty of free space on the computer and i can access mail on my phone and on the web based media mail
